Emil Perdec
He gained his first experiences in the restaurant business very early while working at a cozy tavern in Istria.
He built his career at Plava Laguna in Poreč and at the Valsabbion hotel and restaurant where he won the Best Restaurant of the Adriatic award twice. He was Facility Manager at the Zigante restaurant in Livade, where he won two more awards but this time for "Best Restaurant in Croatia".
Three times he entered the Croatian Sommelier Championship and achieved excellent results. Twice he won and once came in second. As Croatia’s Best Sommelier he represented Croatia at the Trophe Ruinart in Reims in France on two occasions.
He is a member of the Educational Committee of the Croatian Sommelier Club and today works at the Monte Mulini hotel as Chief Sommelier.
